Well, I met the most fun couple in the Dublin train station. Larry & Debbie are from Ohio and were also going to Belfast, but only for the day.
Talking about "winging" it - that is Larry & Debbie. I think they just like to travel, meet people, and have a good time. Nothing wrong with that!!! They are going to be reading my blog, so the pressure is on to make informational blog posts with lots of pictures as this will be their information source.
Larry & Debbie do not travel alone. They travel with their friend, Flat Linda. Linda knew almost as much about Dublin as Larry & Debbie. :-). Lucky Linda will be heading for Paris tomorrow.

You meet friends wherever you go! There's a children's book called "Flat Stanley" Jordan read when she was little. You would make one and send it to people and have them write about his adventures and send it back to you - it was so fun! Guess Debbie and Larry are nice enough to take Flat Linda along for the ride! Great photo of you! Glad you are safely there and had a fun train ride with them! Can't wait to hear what you find out about your ancestors!

ReplyDeleteAll three (four?) of you got to meet fun, interesting people on a train to Belfast! I think Flat Linda should have her own blog. She can brag about always having plenty of leg room in Coach, never having to pay the bar tab, how the men in Ireland are so one-dimensional, etc ;) Can't wait for your next entry!

ReplyDeleteThe history is so interesting!There is a part of the Catholic church that has been taken over by Socialists,but plenty of Catholics are fighting to take back the church.Each parish is different.

I think you need a Flat Linda...you could have all kinds of trivia questions about "where is Flat Linda?" and could create a blog about her and her travels! LeRoi started doing this on his work trips...taking one of Molly's dolls with him and taking random pictures with it on his trip...she LOVED it!
